I have searched and searched and can not find anything to help my aunt, hopefully some of you can help. She had a grandson who lived with her for 4 1/2 to 5 years straight with little or no contact from the father. Her grandson was settled in the home and in Dec. of 2005 the father suddenly reappears and wants the child back, so he goes to a judge who just signs some papers and all of the sudden her grandson is living with him and she has no visitation rights. Now the grandmother nor the mother had a chance to get any legal representation and there were no hearings or any sort of due process followed. Now she has tried to get him back using the Louisiana court system and has had no luck so far. So she has decided to get some outside help. Any info anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. She has legal representation as of now but is about to run out of money. Thank you everyone in advance for you responses!
